The David to my Jonathan...
(1) She knows me better than ANY other human. I never have to explain myself..She just gets me. She's the only person (other than family) who calls me at 1:30 in the morning, and I don't worry that somethings wrong. I just know that she has something REALLY exciting to tell me...or not....maybe she's just really sigh-y....
(2)She loves Jesus and is ALWAYS encouraging me to stay in the Word and to grow.
(3)One of my very favorite things in life is to laugh, and there is not 5 minutes where we aren't laughing. We don't need words either. We can sit someplace for HOURS and just laugh. That's VERY important to me.
(4)If there is something I want in life, Allison assures me that it's possible for me to achieve it, even if we KNOW it's not possible. If I said I want to be the president of the US, Allison would reccomend that we go to Room & Board to pick out decorations for the oval office.
(5) When we refer to ourselves as Jonathan and David, it's truly because we are kindred hearts. The Lord gave me Allison 20+ years ago, and I KNOW that she will ALWAYS be there for me. I'm her stage hand and she's my turtle. I love her more than she knows, or maybe she does...Tuesday, May 25, 2010
Today at work. . .
It was just after 2pm, and I was off already. I had just clocked out and was sitting in the loss prevention office talking to my friend Jenn. The fire alarm goes off. Chaos happens. Managers running in and out talking about the possible evacuation about to incur. 911 gets called. I ask the loss prevention manager if, even though I already clocked out, does she want me to go down and help get the kids out of my department. YES. She says. So RUN I do. Down to smaland. We get the kids lined up, grabbing a rope, 99cent store flip flops on their feet, and out to the 5 flag poles, where we wait for their parents. APPARENTLY one of the air conditioning unit's had a part that had started sparking and started sending smoke through a vent in our computer room. SO the firemen came, and the police came, and the helicopters came, and within 35 minutes the store was reopened......It was an adventure needless to say...those crazy swedes....

It's been a really rough week....

Last night though, I spent the evening talking about Jesus with some highschoolers, and then the night laughing with friends. Then today I had my James class. Guest speaker Robin was a blessing, sharing what God's doing through James in my life was a blessing, and lunch with God fearing women was a blessing. Tomorrow is a day with Allison. I'm excited about our day.
